PETER KEPHA
Peter Kepha is a southwest side Chicago born visual artist and graduate of the American Academy of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Oil Painting. Although academically trained in formal painting practice, Kepha’s background is quite diverse. He has honed and established himself as a Chicago-based graffiti artist, traditional and non-traditional educator with Marwen Foundation, the Chicago Public Art Group, Chicago Public Schools and private education/consultant agencies in addition to collaborating and leading public and private murals and mosaics with lead artists Juan Angel Chavez, Oliva Gude, Chris Silva, Kristal Pacheco and Damon Lamar Reed to name a few. Currently, Peter Kepha serves as Principal Curator and co- proprietor for the 32nd&urban gallery and space in Bridgeport on the south side of Chicago. Kepha’s consultant and design-based organizations, Detour Studios and The ShowOff, focuses on identity branding, logo development, artist promotion and art space development as well as other graphic design type concentrations. www.detourstudioblogspot.com
